EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Remnants of a meth lab were found in the back of a trash truck in Evansville.

It happened Tuesday morning around 8 in the 400 block of Jackson Ave.

The driver of an Allied Waste truck says he picked up his load in an alley and saw smoke coming from the back.

He called authorities who were able to dig it out.

The driver told our crew on scene this is the 8th one pot meth lab he's picked up in that area.

The last one caused a fire. This one was found before it caught fire.
