A former vice president of CNN makes a stop in Evansville to talk about her new book.
Gail Evans, author of "She Wins, You Win" spoke to a group of about 300 professional women at the Executive Inn on Wednesday. In her speech, Evans talked about the importance of women in the workplace and the requirements for them to succeed in a male dominated business world.
Evans said, "There's a perception that a lot of women work because they enjoy working, or they like to work and they have a husband at home who's taking care of them. But in the U.S. today 35 percent of women earn more than their husbands. A lot of women are single mothers or single. Women who work, work out of economic necessity."
