An Evansville worker was burned on the job Friday morning.
A spokesperson for Red Spot on East Columbia says the employee received what appeared to be minor burns to his face during what was most likely a 'flash incident'.
Red Spot makes paint for the automotive industry and the company says the injured worker was up and walking around when firefighters arrived, but was taken to the hospital.
"We're always concerned and we take every single safety incident, no matter what it is, very seriously," says Emilee Hille, Corporate Director of HR at Red Spot. "Our employees are our primary responsibility, and obviously we're concerned about him and his family and happy that it appears to be minimal."
Red Spot says the building where the flash incident happened will be shut down while an invesitgation goes on and will remain closed until they find out the cause.
