Local business owners learn how to spot a meth lab

Posted: Updated:

Thursday night, law enforcement officials held a meth suppression program for landlords, business owners and maintenance workers.

In the ongoing war on meth, law enforcement hosted the seminar at Ivy Tech to educate others how to detect signs of meth production on their property.

"It's important for these people to see a meth lab and what it takes to make a meth lab, just because we want them to be safe whenever they go into these places," said Sgt. Rob Clark, Vanderburgh Co. Sheriff's Dept. Several people have these items in their homes, it's not that uncommon, but when you see them all together and when you see some other things they're gonna show, it's pretty indicative of a meth lab," he said.

The program is held several times a year and is open to the public.
