Web Producer:  Amber Griswold

A city employee is in trouble with the law.

Ed Ziemer Junior was arrested by the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department over the weekend, after he reportedly shot at the home of an estranged friend.

Ziemer Junior was charged with criminal recklessness, public intoxication, and intimidation with a weapon.

Ed Ziemer Junior is a part time employee at the city garage. He began working there after his father was appointed by Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel as City Transportation and Services Director.

Police records show Ed Ziemer Junior has a criminal past, including charges of resisting law enforcement, battery, intimidation, theft, criminal mischief, domestic violence, and driving while intoxicated. Charges he had before he was hired by the city.
