OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - More than 50 pro-life supporters gather on the Daviess County Court House lawn to remember the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.
Speakers talked about what is currently being done to end abortion in Washington and the number of abortions that have happened over the last four decades. Right to Life of Owensboro placed small flags in the court house lawn to represent the 150 abortions that Right to Life says happens in the United States every hour.
"We really believe that we want to make a visual stand that we believe in and what we're doing," said Adrienne Herrenbruck, Executive Director at Right to Life of Owensboro.
Right to Life of Owensboro said they want to bring education and awareness to the number of abortions that happen. They said that Roe vs. Wade and abortion have been a fight that has been going on for forty years.
"It's a very easy issue to be put on the back burner cause you don't see it everyday," said Herrenbruck.
