Arctic Blast: Forecast update and a reminder about the four P's

Arctic air will continue to work into the Tri-State tonight with some of the coldest weather we've had this season.

With temperatures expected to get into the single digits overnight, please remember to protect the four P's– people, pets, plants and pipes.

Homeowners are going to want to wrap their pipes with foam, or if that isn't available, try wrapping them with towels as possible plan ‘B'.  This includes any pipes outside, like regulators or tanks.

The models are flip flopping on whether we'll see a warm up later this week, but either way, we should be at least a bit warmer by Wednesday.

A system will bring us rain to begin with on Thursday before it turns to snow or a wintry mix.  At this point, minor accumulations are possible Thursday night/early Friday.
