EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Less than one month into the year and some people are already struggling to keep their New Year's resolution to become more active, but maybe the Energize Evansville Boot Camp can help.

The number one New Year's resolution is to be more active and maybe even lose some weight.

This event is designed to help motivate you.

So tomorrow, join Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and former marine and personal trainer Tony Maslan, of Custom Fit Personal Training for the January Energize Evansville "Fitness in the Park" event.

Tony will lead a free "boot camp" for people of all ages and all fitness levels.

You will also get to learn the fundamentals of boxing.

"People make a lot of new years resolutions to get in shape and lose weight and usually the reason they quit already is because they don't know what to do when they get in a gym or when they try and exercise at home," said Maslan. "Starting with a strength training fundamentals program where we teach people the proper techniques for strength training," he said.

It's Saturday morning from 8 to 10 at CK Newsome Community Center in Downtown Evansville.

Anyone is welcome.
