Vincennes City Police say they have arrested 2 men after a purse snatching early Friday in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Officials say around 1:30 p.m. Friday, City Police responded to a Robbery/ Purse Snatching that had just occurred in the parking lot of the Vincennes Wal-Mart at 650 Kimmell Road.

60-year-old Vicky McFarland located an officer who was already present on a separate police matter, to report that she had just been robbed of her wallet by 2 young men in hooded sweatshirts while attempting to load her groceries in her car.

Police say a vehicle and suspect description was quickly dispatched and officers quickly spotted a vehicle matching the description with 2 male occupants in hooded shirts, matching the description.

Officials say officers made a traffic and after a quick investigation and victim identification confirmed they were in fact the suspects.

Investigators say they were able to locate a wallet, checks, and personal effects belonging to Ms. McFarland.

Both were charged with multiple counts of Theft and Robbery. They were taken to the Knox County Jail and lodged on $10,000 bond pending court appearance.
