Icy roads blamed for several accidents along I-69 in Hopkins County

Posted: Updated:
HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Hopkins County dispatch tells us authorities have responded to at least five accidents along a particularly dangerous spot on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Dispatch says those accidents and slide-offs have all happened near mile marker 105 on I-69, where there is a bridge.

Kentucky State Police say troopers have responded to at least two accidents in the same spot.

Officials say no injuries have been reported in these accidents.

Dispatch in Daviess County, KY says main roads are clear, but some of the secondary roads are slick.

There also haven't been any reports of major accidents due to those slippery road conditions.

In Ohio County, dispatch says the roads just look wet, but some of those bridges and overpasses are slick.

No reports of anything major have come in there since last night's accident that shut down the green river bridge for a little while.

In Hancock County, dispatch hasn't had any reports of major accidents and says the state was out last night treating the roads.
