Some parents say they are upset about the way one elementary school handled a threatening phone call.
Greenville Elementary Principal Lee Freeman says they got the suspicious call around 10:00 Tuesday morning and moved the students outside for half an hour.
"What happened was, we received a phone call that was not a bomb threat or anything of that nature, but it did show some concern for me. So what I did was a fire drill. We notified some of the local authorities and they went in and did a sweep. Everything was all clear," Freeman told 14 News.
"With the weather being the way it is, and they were made to stand outside. I feel like they should have an emergency plan for this kind of thing. Shuttle kids to different locations,: concerned parent, Destiny Crabtree, said.
The principal says the school does have an emergency plan and a place to bring students in the event of a bigger incident, but he says it wasn't called for in this situation.
Crabtree says she will be attending an upcoming school board meeting.
