JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) - The prosecution is expected to rest their case against the Jeffersonville man on trial for killing his wife.

The lead investigator in the case, Det. Sgt. Todd Hollis was on the stand Tuesday morning.

The state says Bagshaw murdered his estranged wife Kelly in November 2011. An autopsy shows Kelly Bagshaw was stabbed 57 times.

Bagshaw's attorney admits he killed her, but said it was unintentional and he is only guilty of manslaughter, not murder.

The defense is expected to call psychologists to the stand who will testify about Bagshaw's mental state.

WAVE 3's Jaimie Weiss is in the courtroom. She will have a full wrap of day five of the trial starting on WAVE 3 News at 5.
