Morning rescue as car with 4 people gets stuck in high water

POSEY CO., IN (WFIE) - Posey County dispatch says emergency crews were called to pull out a car that got stuck in high water before 5 o'clock Monday morning.

Officials say four people were in a car that got stuck in water on Raben Road between Curtis Road and Ranes Road.

All four people managed to safely get out of the car.

Emergency crews had to be called to retrieve the vehicle.

Elsewhere in the county, several other roads remain dangerous as flooded areas have frozen over.

Haines Road near South Terrace Elementary, is flooded and could affect your morning commute.

In Kentucky, the following highways in District 2  are reported CLOSED:

Henderson Co--KY 1557 (mm not reported)

Muhlenburg Co--KY 1380 mm 3-4 and KY 2355 mm 0-1

Union Co--KY 141 mm 11-19

Webster Co--KY 138 mm 10.2-10.7 and KY 270 mm 6.8-8.3
