Gov.-elect Mike Pence says he will be ready to get to work immediately after being sworn in as Indiana's 50th governor.

The six-term congressman and Lt. Gov.-elect Sue Ellspermann will be sworn in Monday morning during a ceremony at the Statehouse. Former Govs. Joe Kernan, Evan Bayh and Edgar Whitcomb are among the 1,500 people expected to attend the outdoor event. Pence will use former U.S. President Benjamin Harrison's inaugural Bible as part of the ceremony, just as outgoing Gov. Mitch Daniels did.

Pence has said his inauguration speech will focus on this being Indiana's moment and the need for everyone in the state to work together to meet that moment.

Daniels takes over as the new president of Purdue University upon leaving office.
