Mount Vernon woman pleads guilty to hit and run

A Mount Vernon woman has pled guilty to hitting a bike rider last spring and has been sentenced to 32 months. 20 will be spent in jail on work release, the other year will be on probation.

The prosecutor's office says 24-year-old Brittany Bauman will also lose her driver's licence for five years. 

The accident happened on April 25 on Highway 41 near Fort Branch.

The victim, 23-year-old Aaron Henry, says he was in a coma for seven days and hospitalized for 18 days.

Henry's mother testified that he is no longer able to work.
