Man pleads guilty to driving under influence in crash that killed Princeton woman

GIBSON COUNTY, IN (WFIE) -

A Gibson County driver has pled guilty in a fatal crash.

The prosecutor's office says 25-year-old Anthony Yokel, of Allendale, Illinois, pled guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance resulting in death.

He faces up to twenty years in prison.

He also pled guilty to criminal recklessness for sideswiping another car before the crash.

State police say Yokel hit and killed 20-year-old Lauren Hale, of Princeton.

The accident happened last June on State Road 168 near Owensville.

Yokel's sentencing is set for February 14.
