Just before 11 A.M. on Friday, a School resource officer went into a classroom at the Central Academy (on Central Street) in Henderson to remove two students on "court issued pick up orders."
While patting down one of the students, the officer found a .22 caliber pistol in the student's front pants pocket.
It was reportedly loaded with two rounds. That is the full capacity for this type of gun.
The 17-year-old student has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon on School Property. That is a Class D Felony.
He has been taken to the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green.
