Officials in White County, Illinois say a stand-off situation has been resolved peacefully.
Authorities say it began around 9:30 Friday morning.
Officials tell us a young man, a veteran, made threats to harm himself and had discharged the gun inside the home.
Officers and deputies from White County Sheriff's Office; the Edwards County Sheriff's Office; and the Illinois State Police SWAT team responded to the scene.
The White County Sheriff's Office say when SWAT team went in to the home around 2:30 they found the man in the back bedroom sleeping.
Officials say the man was taken to the hospital in Mcleansboro for evaluation.
