Reds caravan to make stop at louisville slugger field

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 2013 Reds Caravan, presented by Cincinnati USA, will make its annual stop in Louisville on Thursday, January 24 at Louisville Slugger Field from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will feature Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman, President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Walt Jocketty, All-Star outfielder and former Louisville Bat Jay Bruce, catcher and fan favorite Corky Miller, minor league outfielder Ryan LaMarre, Reds COO Phil Castellini, Reds mascot Mr. Redlegs and Bats mascot Buddy Bat.

The 2013 Reds Caravan provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs while time allows. The Reds will also raffle two tickets to the 2013 Opening Day game on Monday, April 1 (4:10 p.m.) against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Sales representatives from both the Cincinnati Reds and Louisville Bats will be on hand to discuss season tickets and group outings. The Reds Hall of Fame, the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network will attend selected stops.

The 2013 season marks both the Bats' 14th year at Louisville Slugger Field and 14th year as an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The Bats open their 2013 season at home on Thursday, April 4 against the Toledo Mud Hens at 6:35 p.m.

Full and partial season tickets, along with group outings and suite rentals are available by calling the Bats front office at (502) 212-2287 or visiting www.batsbaseball.com.
