Reds caravan to make stop at louisville slugger field
LOUISVILLE,
Ky. – The 2013 Reds Caravan,
presented by Cincinnati USA, will make its annual stop in Louisville on
Thursday, January 24 at Louisville Slugger Field from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is
free and open to the public.
The
event will feature Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman, President of
Baseball Operations and General Manager Walt Jocketty, All-Star
outfielder and former Louisville Bat Jay Bruce, catcher and fan favorite
Corky Miller, minor league outfielder Ryan LaMarre, Reds COO Phil
Castellini, Reds mascot Mr. Redlegs and Bats mascot Buddy Bat.
The
2013 Reds Caravan provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current
and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At
each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs
while time allows. The Reds will also raffle two tickets to the 2013 Opening
Day game on Monday, April 1 (4:10 p.m.) against the Los Angeles Angels of
Anaheim.
Sales
representatives from both the Cincinnati Reds and Louisville Bats will be on
hand to discuss season tickets and group outings. The Reds Hall of Fame,
the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network
will attend selected stops.
The
2013 season marks both the Bats' 14th year at Louisville Slugger
Field and 14th year as an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The
Bats open their 2013 season at home on Thursday, April 4 against the Toledo Mud
Hens at 6:35 p.m.
