Forecast: Chance of scattered thunderstorms late Monday, severe storms possible

Partly sunny skies will be expected on a warm and humid Labor Day morning.

Temperatures will begin the day in the middle and upper 60s. A few areas of patchy, light fog will be possible.

Plan for partly sunny skies and warm conditions into the midday lunch hour. Temperatures will quickly rising to near 80 degrees.

Increasing clouds into the afternoon will become a bit breezy with southwest winds 10-20 mph.

Highs Monday afternoon will be warm, reaching into the middle and upper 80s.

There will be a chance of scattered thunderstorms late in the afternoon, becoming more likely into the evening Monday night.

The threat of a few strong or possibly severe storms may exist.
