KY transportation survey for the future starts today

Posted: Updated:
OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Kentucky transportation officials are looking into the future as they examine what issues will be important to drivers, 20 years from now.

The "Your Turn" survey is available beginning today and gives residents a chance to voice their opinions on transportation topics throughout the state.

Here's what you need to know if you're interested in participating.

The survey runs until February 25th and has 19 questions.

It will cover things like demographics, transportation needs, and funding options.

The Kentucky Long Range Transportation Plan will consider changes in communities, as well as things like economic development and the environment.

Officials will be asking lots of questions as they go through your responses and update this plan.

Will crews still be maintaining current roads, or will they be focusing on other things like making adjustments for new modes of transportation?

Your thoughts will help answer some of these questions.

You can take the survey in either English or Spanish and use an electronic or hard copy form.

Paper copies can be picked up at any KYTC District Office.
