Four new firefighters were sworn into the Evansville Fire Department on Tuesday.
The recruits received their badges in a ceremony. They have gone through 14 weeks of fire, hazmat, and EMT training.
The new recruits are Brett Dvault, Michael Goldman, Kerry Tostlewaite and Brian Stute.
All the new firefighters say they are ready to start their new jobs.
"I'm looking forward to the first call. I'm nervous already wherever the call comes in, but when it comes, I'll be ready. We tend to stick together to help each other, so I'll be ready," Stute said.
