OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Around 7:45 a.m., Tuesday morning the Owensboro Police Department responded to an accident with injuries call in the 3100 block of Highway 54.

While investigating the collision, officers say they located a small amount of marijuana and open alcohol containers in a white passenger car that was involved.

The vehicle's driver, 22-year-old Logan Wright, was taken into custody on numerous charges.

Wright had been driving east on Highway 54 when he sideswiped a vehicle in the center turn lane before rear-ending another vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light.

Several people were treated on scene for non-life threatening injuries.

Logan Wright was taken to the Daviess County Detention Center. He faces misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.
