Looking for something new to do in 2013? Hobby Day can help - Tri-State News, Weather & Sports

How you can get crafty in January

You're invited to the Owensboro Museum of Science and History on Saturday for a day full of learning and exploring.

January is National Hobby Month and to help celebrate, the museum will hold Hobby Day.

Everything kicks off at 11 a.m.

Over a dozen local clubs and groups will be at the museum to show off what they do for fun.

If you think you're interested in picking up a new hobby but aren't so sure where to get ideas, this is the place to come.

No matter what activities you'd like to explore, you'll probably find people and groups at Hobby Day who share the same interests.

There will be outdoor activities represented, like bicycling and scuba diving.

But they don't stop there.

You can learn about photography, genealogy, amateur radio, and many more.

Hobby Day will run until 3 p.m. Saturday in the museum's first floor Mammoth Lobby.

This event is held to encourage celebration and learning here in our community.

You might even be inspired to rekindle an old hobby from years ago!
