Warmer Weekend

Clear skies at night and snow on the ground have helped keep frigid air over the Tri-State.  By the weekend, the cold will ease its grip and we'll start to see more moderate temperatures by next week, perhaps our first 50 of the year by Tuesday.  A few snow showers will be possible Saturday night/early Sunday, but these should not cause any impact on travel.  Some rain will be possible by next Tuesday and Wednesday.  Byron has the complete forecast.

New Jobs Report

Some analysts are predicting that the unemployment rate for December will remain at 7.7 percent. The government will release the number this morning.  According to a survey by FactSet, economists have forecast that employees added 155,000 jobs in December.

Hobby Day

The Owensboro Museum of Science and History is hosting a day to expand visitors' horizons. Western Kentucky reporter Alyssa Hansen is live with the details.
