An Evansville man is sentenced to thirty years in prison for stabbing a homeless man last October.

49-year-old Brian Powers pleaded guilty, but mentally ill on the attempted murder charge in October.

Police say Powers stabbed the man at a METs transfer station in July.

He was also accused of stabbing a homeless man at Dress Plaza, but no charges were filed in that case.
