GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

There's new information Wednesday night about the Gibson County melon farm at the heart of a salmonella contamination investigation.

The FDA released a warning letter on Wednesday sent to Chamberlain Farms.

In it, the FDA asks farmer Tim Chamberlain to outline how he'll prevent another outbreak of this kind, going forward.

Last summer, more than 250 people in 24 states were sickened from contaminated melons that were traced back to Chamberlain Farms. The farm voluntarily withdrew its fruit.

Chamberlain farms has 15 days to respond in writing to the FDA.
