EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A SUV slammed into an Evansville business Tuesday afternoon.

Police say William Alexander was heading west on Covert Avenue around 3:30 p.m. When he tried to turn left on Stevens Avenue, he missed the turn and slammed into A-Plus Financial.

The corner of the building was destroyed. Employees with A-Plus Financial say this accident definitely affects their business.

"Looks like our main server is damaged, the wall, the windows and some equipment inside. If we get one day behind, we have to work some late hours to catch everything up, so we got a lot of business that depends on us," said Sharon Clark with A-Plus Financial.

Police aren't sure why Alexander missed the turn, but no one was inside the building when it was hit, and there were no injuries.

Police say Alexander was arrested because of being a habitual traffic offender.
