NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – A New Albany man was arrested on Monday and charged with assaulting his 14-year-old grandson and holding him against his will.

James Ross, 56, is charged with battery and strangulation. Police said they found about 40 firearms and about five pounds of marijuana inside a safe in Ross's home.

Ross was freed on bond.
