OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

After seeing an increase in enrollment over the last few years, Brescia University is expanding its campus.

Brescia University purchased the old Fifth Third Bank on Frederica Street in Owensboro. The university plans on moving the financial aid office, register, and business office to the building.

The university says the extra space will help the students with their needs.

"It's very important that with the increased number of students we provide the services that they need, not only for their academic work, but also for their extra curricular work," said Rev. Larry Hostetter, the President of Bresica University.

The university paid $350,000 for the building and property.
