Authorities say man robbed at gunpoint in his home

Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for the suspects involved in an armed robbery Sunday night in Evansville.

Authorities say at least one person was hurt during the incident Sunday night on Ravenswood drive. Police say there are multiple suspects and multiple victims in this case.

Details of this robbery are a little unclear at this point. But police say the victims know the suspects in this case, and that they expect arrests to be made soon.

Police say they received a call for an armed robbery at 2947 Ravenswood Avenue at 6:30 Sunday evening.

Police say 'several' victims were inside the home at that address when the suspects knocked on their door. Police say the victims let the suspects come inside and at some point, the suspects pulled out guns, held them to the suspects' heads, and started taking what police are calling 'personal items.'

Police say one of the suspects hit one of the victims in the head with a gun, and that the suspects ran away.

An EPD Crime Scene Unit was called to the address, and police aren't releasing the identities of anyone involved, at this time.

"We have a couple that we're taking serious looks at," said EPD Sgt. Lonnie Rahm. "We've matched up a few names, and this is something that the detectives are going to have to follow-up on."

Obviously, this investigation is still on-going, but we will update this story as we learn more.
