LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A mother allegedly hit her child with a stick.

According to police report filed by Louisville Metro police, on December 27 Jeanette Horton was arrested after she was accused of hitting her 3-year-old on December 17 with a wooden stick several times.

An arrest warrant states Horton struck the child in the buttock and legs after he wet himself.

The child suffered bruising.

Child Protective Services were notified in the case.

Horton is charged with third degree criminal assault.
