United Caring Shelters still flying white flags for those in need

Posted: Updated:

The white flag will fly again Friday night at United Caring Shelters in Evansville..

That means anyone who needs a warm place for the night will be allowed inside.

The colder weather means the shelter is seeing a dramatic rise in the number of people needing help, and that means they are in need of supplies and donations.

"Financial donations are always greatly appreciated," said Director of the United Caring Shelters Kimron Reising. "I mean, we operate on a really tight budget. The community support is wonderful, we can't do what we do without all the individuals, and churches and businesses."

The UCS says it's already hosted 14 white flag nights so far, and will continue them through at least January 2nd.

If you'd like to make a donation, contact the shelter.
