LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The police report released by Metro concerning an attack at the Bellagio on Friday paints a violent picture.
Brenda Jean Stokes, 50, identified in the report as Brenda Stokes Wilson, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. on Friday for attacking a female co-worker at the Bellagio with razor blades.
Stokes is currently in Clark County Detention Center, charged with burglary, use of a deadly weapon resulting in bodily harm and mayhem with use of a deadly weapon.
According to the report, Stokes located her victim at a blackjack table in the Bellagio and, armed with razor blades in each hand, slashed her face. One laceration on the victim's face extends from ear to ear to the corner of her mouth. The victim was hospitalized with deep laceration wounds.
A blackjack player pinned Stokes down until security arrived, the report states. Security found a razor blade on the casino floor at the scene of the attack and another in the pit area. Police found a bag on Stokes containing three more razor blades.
Police said that when they asked Stokes what prompted the attack, she said that she and the victim had been co-workers since 2005 and that recently she had received threatening phone calls from the victim concerning betrayal.
Stokes further told police she had earlier visited her doctor and told him she needed to be hospitalized for feeling like she wanted to hurt someone. She also stated she takes Xanax for anxiety but had not taken it the day of the attack.
Stokes did tell police she regretted the attack, saying "sometimes people just snap." When police asked her what would have happened had the attack not been stopped, she said, "I would have whooped that ass. I would have killed her." She went on to say, "I should have killed her," according to the police report.
Meanwhile, a child who had been left in Stokes' care on the day of the attack is missing.
