OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

An Owensboro man was arrested on burglary charges on Wednesday. 

Owensboro Police say around 4:05 a.m., they responded to a burglary call in the 3300 block of Oriole Court.

They say the caller said that he locked himself in a bedroom after hearing someone inside the residence. 

When officers arrived, they saw 38-year-old Quinton Crite exiting the home. Police say Crite did not have permission to be inside the residence and was armed with a knife during the course of the burglary.

No injuries were reported.

Crite was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
