People trying to prepare for this storm are having a little trouble Tuesday because most stores are closed to celebrate Christmas.

About the only places you'll find open are gas stations and some drug stores.

14 News caught up with one man on Tuesday who says when the snow flies, he'll be ready.

"I'm sure people aren't thinking about it with the holidays & Christmas and everything going on. I happen to be working today, so I'm kinda doing a little preplanning myself, getting a few gas cans filled and getting ready in case the power goes out. I think this is the one day a year places do actually close. I'm sure as the day goes on, they'll be busier and busier," Brian Herrell said.

As of now, Walmart, Home Depot, and Schnucks are all scheduled to re-open in the middle of the storm Wednesday morning at 6:00 a.m.

We did find one convenient store called Always Open on Allens Lane and St. Joe. It will be open until 11:00 p.m.  Tuesday night, if you need some quick supplies.
