A Hopkins County Man accused of stabbing and robbing his stepmother made his first appearance in court this morning.
Sheriff's Deputies say Curtis Brasher attacked his step-mom, Sherry Brasher at her home in Nortonville earlier this month.
Investigators say Brasher took off in a stolen jeep and was later taken into custody in Nashville.
Deputies say the victim is recovering from her injuries. The case now moves to a grand jury early next year.
"The Hopkins County Commonwealth Attorneys Office will move forward and decide what ultimately, how to resolve this matter," said Lee Riddle with the Hopkins County Attorneys Office.
Brasher remains in the Hopkins County Jail on a $550,000 bond.
