Local groups hoping to headlock hunger to benefit Adam's Food Pantry

No need to twist any arms to attend this show.

Two professional wrestling groups will be performing at the National Guard Armory in Evansville Friday night, with all proceeds going toward Adam's Food Pantry.

Volunteer Roberta Lenfers tells us, along with the admission, canned goods and other non-perishable food items are being accepted.

She says the volunteer group has served over 300 families this month alone, and the need for food is increasing.

"We have a lot of senior citizens. We have a lot of people who are disabled. We have a lot of people who have lost their jobs," she said. "I think everybody understands that right now. Without the money, without the food, we can't help these people."

The event starts at 7:30 Friday night at the National Guard Armory. Doors open at 6:30.
