There's no shortage of things to do for students in Owensboro and Daviess County schools during their winter breaks.
The Owensboro Museum of Science and History doesn't open for a few hours but has lots of things planned for students that are on winter break.
Here's a quick snapshot of what's happening if you and your kids are willing to brave the cold and come downtown.
Later today, Kids in the Kitchen will take place with the Junior League of Owensboro.
The first 150 participants will get a bag filled with healthy treats to help keep up that motivation during the holidays.
That starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
Tomorrow morning at 10:30, Theater Workshop of Owensboro's Youth Theater Group will hold a workshop on making Christmas puppets, so kids can put on a show at home.
Lots of events are planned next week, too, including building winter bird feeders and checking out winter constellations.
Just as a reminder, these events run until December 31st.
