In Henderson, a new business is about to open, to showcase and sell, the work of young artists.  Even the inside of this business was designed by a local teen.

That teen is 17-year-old Kyle Cox.

"I wanted it to be something that just about any artist could come in here, put their work in here," Cox said. "It would fit in but then also stand out in its own right."

Studio 421 Founder Lorna Littrell says the space will house art of all kinds, such as fashion, jewelry and photography.

Littrell tells us the business will be run by young local artists. She says, this is a way for young artists in the community to showcase their work.

Littrell says, in addition to the work being up for sale, other services will be offered such as custom-made clothing and photography services.

Photographer Chelsea Crooks tells 14 News the studio is a great way to help Henderson artists pursue artistic jobs right in their hometown.

"This is my home. This is where my family's at," said Crooks. "I don't want to have to move away but most people do have to."

"I thought, you know, somebody needs to help these young adults have a way of exploring and getting a chance to try to live their dream," Littrell said.
