West side commuters experienced some delays on Franklin Street Monday afternoon when a train struck a semi truck.
That caused the train to sit at a standstill for over an hour.
The truck had turned close to the tracks while on the lot of Pirahna Shredding and was stuck in the railroad gravel. When the train approached, it struck the corner of the semi's trailer, prompting the train to come to a stop.
No injuries were reported and the trailer suffered only minor damage.
