Evansville Police arrested the parents of a 7 month old for Neglect of a Dependent after police and fire officials responded to a call that she was left alone in a car. Police say the infant was left in the car while the parents shopped at Menards on the east side.

EFD personnel were able to get the car open and remove the child.

EPD says officers saw marijuana in the car in two different places. The child was cared for by AMR personnel while officers tried to locate the parents. Several announcements were made inside the store trying to locate the parents, but 30 minutes passed with no response.

The parents, 26-year-old Ross Ivy and 25-year-old Kylie Moore, eventually approached the officers. Officers were able to determine the two had been in the store for 45 minutes. Both were arrested for Neglect of a Dependent and Possession of Marijuana.

The infant was placed with a family member.
