Helping Red Cross spread Hope for the Holiday

Posted: Updated:

Every year across the country the Red Cross responds to nearly 80,000 disasters.

On Friday you have the chance to help and learn about their efforts at the "Hope for the Holiday" event at Eastland Mall.

The main goal is to raise funds so the Red Cross can help those in need this holiday season, and you can even donate without leaving your car. Just look for the emergency response vehicle in between Chili's and Grandy's near the mall food court entrance.

Or you can park and go inside the mall to make your donation. That's where 14 News employees will be joining Red Cross volunteers in helping out all day.

You can also talk to those volunteers about becoming a volunteer, yourself.

No donation is too small. So if you're headed to the mall on Friday to do some shopping, take just a second to come by and say hi, give a holiday donation.
