OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

An Owensboro man is arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Wednesday afternoon, officials say they arrested 44-year-old Angelo D. Lloyd, after members of the Owensboro Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at his home on 3824 Benttree Drive, apartment A.

Authorities say the location was part of an ongoing investigation conducted by Street Crimes detectives.

During the search, authorities say they found about 17 grams of crack cocaine and other items indicative of an ongoing crack cocaine trafficking operation.

Lloyd was arrested and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.

Officials say the street value of the seized cocaine is close to $1,500.

Charges:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense, (> or= 4 grams
  • cocaine) – Class C Felony
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree, 1st Offense (> or = 20 Dosage
  • Units Drug Unspecified) – Class A Misdemeanor
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess – Class A Misdemeanor
