For many, Wednesday holds a special meaning. It's 12/12/12 and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The next time we'll have a triple digit date won't be until January 1, 3001.

The number 12 is associated with enjoyment, emotions, and creative expression.

Wednesday was just that for couples who tied the knot, teens who celebrated a 12th birthday, and parents who celebrated new life.

Richard and Patricia Biggs had been engaged for three years and when they realized 12/12/12 was approaching. They thought it had a nice ring.

"12/12/12 is supposed to be the luckiest day," Patricia said.

Although they disagree on whether luck or love will keep them together.

"We'll be together forever," Patricia said.

"I disagree, I don't think luck has anything to do with it. It's more of a love thing," Richard said.

It couldn't have been more perfect timing for little Molly Smith, who was born not only on the triple digit date but at the 12th hour and the 12th minute.

"It's already going to be such a blessing to have her, and then the date, too. So it will be great for her to have," said mom, Tammy Smith.

Tammy says her doctor scheduled her C-section for the 12th at noon.

"After she gave me the date, I was, that'll be neat," Tammy said.

From there, baby Molly's dad took the number game even further.

"I'm going to try to get them to wait 12 minutes, so it will be 12 hours, 12 minutes," Tim said to 14 News.

That's the way it was, Molly was born at 12:12.

One of the first babies born in the Tri-State on the 12th was Lucas Eckert. Also born via C-section, but 12-12-12 was Lucas' due date. The Eckert's consider themselves lucky.

"Well, I just think we've been really ,really fortunate. We've had identical twin girls, which was really, really exciting, so that was really cool. Then we have our little boy, which we were really excited about having a boy. It also has a pretty cool significance of having the 12-12-12 birthday. It's been very cool to have these different little stories about our kids," said mom, Laura Eckert.

Deaconess and St. Mary's delivered 12 babies combined on Wednesday.

We've also heard from a few teens who turned 12 on 12/12/12. We want to say Happy Birthday to Megan Irene Selby, Bralyn Shripka, and JD Gilbert.
