Updated:

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Players, ASU administrators and fans came out the Convocation Center to welcome the new head football coach Bryan Harsin.

Former Texas offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin interviewed for the opening Tuesday.

Coach Harsin was introduced at a 2:00pm press conference.

Harsin has spent the last two seasons in Austin. The #23 Longhorns will play #13 Oregon State in the Alamo Bowl on December 29th. Texas' offense ranked 6th in the Big 12 in rushing and passing yards, 3rd in pass efficiency.

Before being the Texas OC, Harsin spent 10 seasons at Boise State. He was a graduate assistant in 2001, tight ends coach from 2002 to 2005, and Broncos offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2010. That OC stint included Boise State's upset over Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
