SALYERSVILLE, KY (FOX19) -

A Kentucky boy with stage 4 Cystic Fibrosis is hoping you can help him shatter a world record.

Dalton Dingus is just 9-years-old.

According to a local radio station, Dalton's Cystic Fibrosis has taken a turn for the worst and he's being sent home because there's nothing left for doctors to do.

Dalton says he wants to beat the Guinness World Record for the most Christmas cards. That record now stands at 35,000.

Kentucky State Police report that Dalton had received 50,000 as of Thursday.

You can help Dalton continue his record-breaking quest by sending him a card to the following address:

Dalton Dingus
H.C. 62 Box 1249
Salyersville, KY 41465

You might remember that another one of Dalton's wishes came true a week back when Kentucky State Police troopers visited him at home.
