Ivy Tech wants Students to Beat Enrollment Rush

Ivy Tech Community College has informed both current Fall term students and recent applicants to the school about the urgent need to enroll for Spring term as soon as possible in order to beat the last minute rush for Spring classes, which begin on January 14.

The college has enrolled more than 82,000 students for the upcoming Spring term, but thousands more are expected to register.

Ivy Tech is encouraging all current and future students to register for courses prior to the holidays, when service lines are shorter on campus and a wider selection of courses is still available.

Students who wait until after the holidays to register for Spring term may have fewer courses to choose from or may experience long lines on campuses.

The college recently launched a new Help Center, which provides students with real-time information about their current registration, application and financial aid status, as well as access to nearly 500 frequently asked questions.

The new site, www.ivytech.edu/help, is available 24/7 to students needing assistance.

In addition, the Help Center is also equipped with a toll-free number, 888-IVY-LINE, and an online chat feature, which is accessible to students daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Ivy Tech representatives are available to answer any question a student may have about the registration process or any item related to Ivy Tech.

Ivy Tech's enrollment has increased nearly 70 percent in the last six years, growing from 104,708 students in 2005-2006 to 176,769 students in 2011-12.
