Three Oregon State University football players are facing felony assault charges after police said they beat up two men inside a Corvallis bar.
The fight happened at the Impulse Bar and Grill on Northwest Monroe Avenue early Saturday morning.
Police arrested junior defensive tackle Tyler 'Mana' Rosa, senior defensive end Rudolph Fifita and junior linebacker Dyllon Mafi. The three players were arraigned Monday in a Benton County courtroom.
According to investigators, the players assaulted two other men during an argument inside the bar.
The other men involved in the fight were not arrested.
"We're not going to let it distract us," senior cornerback Jordan Poyer said. "We're going to pray for them. Like I said, they're still our teammates, they're still our friends, so we're just going to keep preparing and keep doing what we're doing."
Coach Mike Riley just returned from a recruiting trip and said he has not talked to the players.
"All of these things are always about choices. Guys make their own beds, so to speak," Riley said.
The Beavers' next game is Dec. 29 when they play in the Alamo Bowl. Riley says the three that were arrested likely will not play.
"They're suspended right now and will probably remain that way from the team," Riley said.
