LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Former University of Louisville Head Football Coach Bobby Petrino is on the Western Kentucky University campus, interviewing to become the Hilltoppers' next coach, according to a Bowling Green Daily News reporter.

Chad Bishop, the newspaper's WKU beat writer, reported the news on Twitter around noon on Monday.

Willie Taggart stepped down from the head coaching job at WKU, his alma mater, on Friday to take over as head coach at the University of South Florida in his native Tampa Bay area.

Most recently, Petrino was head coach at the University of Arkansas. He was fired in April after revealing he'd had an adulterous relationship with an employee who was with him when he crashed his motorcycle.
